	作者略歴 Brief record	ホームレスのための簡易シェルター「ホームレス・ヴィークル」や1980年から始めた都市のモニュメント、公共建築物へのパブリック・プロジェクション（スライドやビデオの投射）などのプロジェクトにより、社会が恣意に隠匿しようとしている問題に焦点を当て、人々に社会を考えるきっかけを与える作品を制作。97年からMIT先端視覚研究所教授としても活躍。 国際展：86年ヴェニス・ビエンナーレ、87年ドクメンタ、2000年光州ビエンナーレに参加。 国内では99年に第４回ヒロシマ賞受賞記念展を広島市現代美術館において開催。 Born in Poland in 1943. Lives and works in the United States. Wodiczko's art makes people think about social issues, focusing on problems that many people prefer to keep hidden. Examples include his "homeless vehicles" that served as simple shelters for the homeless and the "public projections" of slides and videotapes on urban monuments and public buildings that he started in 1980. Since 1997 he has been a professor at the MIT Center for Advanced Visual Studies. International exhibitions: Venice Biennale, 1986, Kassel Documenta, 1987, Kwangju Biennnale, 2000. Exhibitions in Japan: Fourth Hiroshima Prize Memorial Exhibition, Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, 1999.
