いわゆる「マンガおたく」で、日本のマンガの影響を強く受けている、フランスでも注目の若手作家。マンガを表現手段として使いながら未来の物語を描いている。そのテーマは「アートが人類を救う」という、アートにある種の夢と皮肉を重ねながら、人類の平和を願うストーリーとなっている。
フランス外務省芸術交流プログラムにより、2000年5月から３ヶ月間、京都に滞在した経験がある。
Born in France in 1972. Lives and works in France.
Tixier is one of the hottest young artists in
France. She is a so-called "manga otaku," a comics
buff, and is greatly influenced by Japanese manga.
She creates futuristic stories using manga. The
theme is "Art saves the world." The stories are
about a fight for world peace and they are depicted
with expectation and irony to art. Tixier came
to Japan in May, 2000 on the art fellowship program
by the French government and stayed in Kyoto for
3 months. |
