	作者略歴 Brief record	建築空間とインテリア、その外部の状況を、実物大より２０パーセント小さい模型としてコンテナ１個分程度の大きさにつくり、ひとつのストーリーを創り出す。中の鏡に映る外の世界も作られた物体であり、鏡像と現実、ヴァーチャルとリアルの関係をあらわにする。もともと演劇をやっていた経験もあり、洗練された舞台装置のようにも見えるインスタレーションである。 ドイツを中心に個展を次々と開催している。 Born in Germany in 1967. Lives and works in Germany. Ranner makes reduced models of a room with interior decoration. Everything is made 20 per cent smaller than the actual size and a whole piece is as large as a cargo container. Each work is created based on a story. In the room, there is a mirror and it reflects an outdoor view, which is also created by the artist. With these works, Ranner reveals the relationship between a real object and its reflection and between virtual and real worlds. Influenced by her theatrical background, she creates installations like a stage set, and a sophisticated one at that. Ranner has been given many solo exhibitions in Germany and other countries. International exhibitions: Venice Biennale in 2001.
