	作者略歴 Brief record	彫刻家であるプムフースルは、美術だけでなく、建築・デザイン、人間の歴史について複雑な思考を重ねる美術家である。彼はマダガスカルなどに滞在し、モダニズムと近代産業の波及が第三世界の近代建築や都市制度に与えた影響、固有の文化への干渉などを詳細に調査し、建築と権力の関係を検証する。彼の作品は多様なメディアを用いた架空の都市空間の中の彫刻として提示されるが、その空間は、都市制度を成立させる様々なイデオロギーや歴史を抽出する思考装置としての空間である。 Born in Austria in 1971. Lives and works in Austria. Pumhosl is a sculptor creating artworks through his complex thoughts on art, architecture, design and human history. Pumhosl often visits and stays in Madagascar and other third world countries. There he researches in detail the influence of modernism and modern industry on modern architecture and city systems in the third world and the intervention in indigenous cultures. He seeks to find out the relationship between architecture and authority. Pumhosl creates sculptures in various media and installs them in urban space. The space serves as a device to sample various ideologies and histories that form the systems of the city.
