	作者略歴 Brief record	多摩美術大学で彫刻を学び、造形性の高いインスタレーション作品に取り組んだ時期を経て、現在は主にコンピュータとエレクトロニクス・マテリアルを連携させたミクスト・メディア・プレゼンテーションやコンピュータ・グラフィックによる映像作品を制作。93年DTI（デジタル・セラピー・インスティテュート）として東京のO美術館での｢サイコスケープ｣で体験者の脳波の変化に応じてコンピュータの画面の映像が変化する作品｢ブレインウェイブ・ライダー｣を発表。カーネギー・メロン大学にて研究員として医療現場のスタッフらとの学際的研究チームに参加するなど分野を越えた活動を展開している。 95年、ルクセンブルグで開催された｢テレポリス｣、98年ニューデリー国立近代美術館での｢テイストと探求―1990年代の日本美術｣、99年京都国立近代美術館での｢身体の夢：ファッションor見えないコルセット｣などに参加。 Born in Japan in 1952. Lives and works in Japan. Oki studied sculpture at Tama Art University. Early in his artistic career, Oki created plastic art installations.Now, he makes film works using computer graphics and mixed media presentation that combine computer and electronic materials. Oki has been engaged in interdisciplinary work. In 1991, he formed DTI (Digital Therapy Institute) with people in various fields. The DTI exhibited "Brain Wave Rider (BWR)" at the "Psycho-scape" at the O Art Museum, Tokyo in 1993. The BWR is a computer game controlled by the brain waves of the player. Oki has also worked with medical staff in an interdisciplinary research as a research fellow at Carnegie Mellon University. International exhibitions: Telepolis in Luxemburg in 1995, "Tastes and Pursuits - Japanese Art in the 1990s" at the National Museum of India, New Delhi in 1998.
