	作者略歴 Brief record	97年のヴェニス・ビエンナーレではオランダ館代表となり注目を集める。文化的常識を覆すような不条理な設定によるビデオや、奇妙にねじ曲げられた居心地の悪い空間をつくり出すインスタレーションなど、観客が自明のものとして持っている知識や視覚などの身体感覚へ直接訴える作品を制作。名前の発音[アナトミックanatomic]にあるように、社会を鋭く分析 (アナトミー)する作家である。 国際展：97年ヴェニス・ビエンナーレ、99年メルボルン・ビエンナーレに参加。 Born in the Netherlands in 1962. Lives and works in the Netherlands. Mik was the main attraction at the Dutch pavilion in the 1997 Venice Biennale. He creates video works showing absurd situations that upset cultural common sense and installations with strangely twisted, uncomfortable spaces. His art directly opposes the ordinary knowledge, visual perceptions, and physical sensations that viewers accept as self-evident. As suggested by his name, pronounced something like the English word "anatomic," he is an artist who "anatomizes," or analyzes, society with a penetrating eye.
