	作者略歴 Brief record	壁や床にドゥローイングを描き、カットアウトのペーパーワークやレリーフ、プラスティックやガラスの小さいオブジェなどを組み合わせるインスタレーション作家。静かなスペースの中に、非常に繊細なオブジェやぼんやりとした形を構成する壁に書かれた言葉、微妙なあやを織りなす影を用いながら、作品の中で詩が思い浮かばれるような世界を構成する。また、地下鉄の乗客の胸から下だけ、あるいは足もとだけを撮った映像作品も制作している。 95年ホイットニー・ビエンナーレ、96年「Life/Live」展（パリ市立近代美術館）に参加。 日本では、98年ＣＣＡ北九州でプロジェクトをおこなっている。 Born in England in 1965. Lives and works in the United States. Liddell's installations are composed of drawings on the wall and floor, cutout paper works and reliefs, and small plastic and glass objects. The extremely delicate objects set in the quiet space, vague forms emerging from words written on the walls, and shadows weaving subtle designs combine to give a richly poetic impression. Liddell also produces images of subway passengers, showing their bodies from the chest down or only the legs. Whitney Biennial, 1995, "Life/Live," Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville Paris, 1996.
