	作者略歴 Brief record	体操選手の演技や廊下を歩く人などの映像と、その人体の動きの輪郭線をコンピュータでシミュレーションした映像とを重ね合わせたヴィデオ作品を制作している。主観性を排したドキュメントとして捉えられた人間の動作は、デジタル･イメージの介入によって、かえって生々しく身体と空間の関係性を喚起する表現へと転化されている。 96年｢The Power of Suggestion: Narrative and Notation in Contemporary Drawing｣展（ロサンジェルス現代美術館）、2000年第３回光州ビエンナーレ、「KOREAMERICAKOREA」展（アート･ソンジェ・センター、ソウル）に参加、2000年ニューヨーク　ホイットニー美術館（フィリップモリス）で個展開催。 Born in the Republic of Korea in 1963. Lives and works in the United States since 1970. Kwon makes video works showing images of human actions, for example, a gymnast performing and a person walking along a corridor. In these images, computer-simulated outlines of those movements are superimposed. Kwon captures movements of a human as a documentary without subjectivity. When the digital images are superimposed, the documentary images turn to a vivid description of the relationship between the human body and space. At the YOKOHAMA 2001, Kwon will exhibit a video installation showing the movements of people going through a revolving door of an office building. International exhibitions: "The Power of Suggestion: Narrative and Notation in Contemporary Drawing" at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles in 1996, the 3rd Kwangju Biennale in 2000, "KOREAMERICAKOREA" at the Artsonje Center, Seoul in 2000, a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Phillip Morris in 2000.
