	作者略歴 Brief record	1992年から共同で作業をしている。a.men という建築事務所を設立し、建築家としての活動も行なっている。建築家としての背景が作品にも影響していることは明らかで、限定した場所に設置するインスタレーションが多い。「音」も彼らの作品の重要な要素となっており、「Elements」（要素）という98年の作品は、いくつかの大きなアンテナが異なる空間から人々の会話を含めた「音」をひろってくるというものだった。その音は録音され、少し遅らせて空間へと再生されてゆく。「Ambient City」 という99年の作品はラジオ局との共同作業によって制作され、24時間止まることなくミニマルな電子音を1ヶ月間流し続けるという、ラディカルなものだった。なお、グリュンルンドはSahkoという自分の音楽レーベルを持っている。 2001年ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ ノルディック館キュレーター。 Tommi Gronlund: Born in Finland in 1967. Petteri Nisunen: Born in Finland in 1962. Both live and work in Finland. Gronlund and Nisunen are artists and also architects working at their own architecture office "a.men." Gronlund and Nisunen's works show the influence of their architectural background. They create many site-specific installations, designed and created for particular places. Also characteristic of their works is the use of sound as a major element. One such piece is "Elements" they created in 1998. It had several large antennas that picked up various sounds, including conversations in different spaces. The sounds were recorded and reproduced after a short delay in those spaces. Another sound installation, "Ambient City" in 1999, was created in collaboration with a radio broadcasting station. It was a radical piece in which they played minimal electronic sounds 24 hours a day for a month. Gronlund has his own music label "Sahko." They participated in the Venice Biennale as curators of the Nordic Pavilion and as artists in 2001
