	作者略歴 Brief record	ヘルシンキを拠点とした建築家のユニット。2000年のヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ建築展では、古い遊覧船を「いつか価値を持つであろうヴェネチアのゴミ」でいっぱいにして、それを石と植木で覆い、人々の憩いの場として提供した。社会とエコロジーの問題に興味を持ち、その表現手段として建築のボキャブラリーを用いている。横浜トリエンナーレでは、会場付近の地域の特性を取り入れた屋外のプロジェクトを計画中である。 Marco Casagrande: Born in Finland in 1971. Sami Rintala: Born in Finland in 1969. Both live and work in Finland. Casagrande and Rintala form an architectural unit based in Helsinki. They employ architecture as their language to comment on social and ecological issues. They were invited to participate in the Venice Architectural Biennale in 2000. There Casagrande and Rintala made an architectonic installation of a park built in a disused barge. In the barge, trees were planted and stones were placed on composted human waste from the city of Venice. The amount of the waste was equal to that produced in the city in one hour. The barge was opened as a public park. At the YOKOHAMA 2001, they are planning an outdoor project that reflects the features of the regions around the venue.
