CGを中心に、幅広い創作活動を行うアーティスト、クリエーター。80年代後半、テクノ・ポップバンド「P-MODEL」の平沢進の元で修業。90年からテレビ番組のCG制作に関わり、『ウゴウゴルーガ』(92~フジテレビ系列)で注目を集める。99年のゲームソフト『せがれいじり』でも、その独自のデザイン、世界観が高い評価を受けた。
94年からは音楽を含む創作ユニット「Hz」(ヘルツ)としてライヴ活動も行う。
Born in Japan in 1968. Lives and works in Japan.
Akimoto is a recognized CG artist. Akimoto worked
under Hirasawa Susumu of a techno pop band "P-Model"
in the late 80s. He began his career as a CG artist
in the early 90s. He first attracted attention
for the CG in the "Ugo Ugo Lhuga," a kid's television
program series on Fuji Television from 1992 to
1994. He made the computer game software "Segare
Ijiri" ('twinkie play') in 1999 and his original
design and the unique world he created was highly
esteemed. Akimoto has also been active in the
world of music since 1994 when he formed a mixed-media
band "Hz." Their activities include live performances
that combine visual media and music. |
