東京芸術大学大学院修了、93年、東京のレントゲン藝術研究所での「フォーチュンズ」展に出品、以来、ミヅマ・アートギャラリーで度々の個展、99年に福岡の三菱地所アルティアムにて個展「道程」、近年では水戸芸術館のグループ展「日本ゼロ年」に連作「戦争画リターンズ」を出品。表現内容ごとに洋画、日本画、アニメ、児童画などのスタイルを援用、卓越した技術で描き出される「悪趣味」な世界。小説に『青春と変態』がある。
Born in Niigata, Japan in 1965. Lives and works
in Japan.
Aida completed his master's degree at Tokyo National
University of Fine Arts and Music in 1991. He
first exhibited his works at "Fortunes" held at
the Rontgen Kunst Institute, Tokyo in 1993. Since
then, Aida's works have been displayed in numerous
solo and group exhibitions. He was given a number
of solo exhibitions at the Mizuma Art Gallery,
Tokyo. He had a solo exhibition "Doutei," which
means 'a long way' in English, at the Mitsubishi-Jisho
Artium, Fukuoka in 1999. In the same year, he
exhibited the "War Picture Returns" series at
a group show "Ground Zero Japan" at the Art Tower
Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. Aida creates his vulgar
world with skill in oil painting, Nihonga (traditional
Japanese-style painting), animation and mock children's
painting. He chooses a style of painting depending
on the theme. Aida has also written a novel "Youth
and the Pervert."
