Sasamoto Aki

Born 1980 in Yokohama. Lives and works in New York.

Sasamoto went to the U.S. in her teens and studied art, dance, sculpture, and other subjects at several universities. She became interested in the quirks and habits that are the surface of the individual’s mental state and personality. Subsequently she presented performances, sculptures, and installations with the themes of everyday acts and routines.
