Philippe Parreno

Born 1964 in Oran, Algeria. Lives and works in Paris.

Parreno questions the character of the image and the form of the exhibition through diverse means of expression such as film, documentary, music video, design, and architectural approach. He often employs existing materials and converts them in various ways into works of his own. Recently, he jointly directed Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait with Douglas Gordonand this film was chosen for the Cannes Film Festival 2006.
