Pichet Klunchun

Born 1971 in Thailand. Lives and works in Thailand.

Klunchun is a dancer and choreographer well known on the international scene as a dancer of Thai traditional dances. At the age of 16 he began learning Khon, traditional mask dances, and subsequently at the university and in America he learned about a broader range of physical expression. With performances backed up by a highly polished and trained body and superb technique he sought to harmonize the traditional and modern elements in dance.
