Khan's interest has been focused consistently on the relationship between the metropolis and the self. His works are expressed using wide-ranging media including video, performance, installation, text, music, and sound. They project the various structures of the city such as its history, bustle, authority, class, and culture as is and approach the way one's self is formed in an urban society from multifarious viewpoints.
