Born 1964 in the south of France. Lives and works in Paris and Rio de Janeiro.
Bel is a dancer and choreographer who is well known for his conceptual works of art where physical expression is intermingled with explanatory language. After performing in France and Italy in a number of dance works by a variety of choreographers, he produced his own choreographical work in 1994. The Show Must Go On that he produced in 2001 is one of his signature works, and he received a Bessie Award for a production of this work in New York in 2005.
