Tino Sehgal
Born in London in 1976, currently living in Berlin. After studying Political Economics in Berlin and Dance in Essen, since 2000, he started to present art works in the visual art scene. The work of Tino Sehgal exists only in the moment of its realization, not producing material objects, and involving with the people on site. His work has been exhibited at Tate Britain and the Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (Paris), Museum Ludwig (Cologne) , Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), Walker Art Center (USA), Lyon Biennale(Lyon) and so on. He was nominated for the Hugo Boss Prize at the Guggenheim Museum (New York), and was one of two artists representing Germany at the 2005 Venice Biennale.

1. Application guideline

(2)Audition
- conducted by the artist is to be set up in the beginning of September. We will inform all applicants for further information (place, date and time, etc).

(3)Rehearsal
- 5days of the beginning of September, 2000yen/h fee and local transport expenses guaranteed. We will inform all applicants for further information (place, date and time, etc).

2. Conditions

(1)Overview
- Period of the work: Throughout the period of the Trinennale, Sat 13/09/2008〜Sun 30/11/2008
- Dancers are required to dance choreographed by Tino Sehgal, for 2h15m as 1 session which involves kissing each other as a main element. 1 session consists of some 16minutes sequences.

(2)Conditions
- About 10 duets of dancers are commissioned to dance on rotation per session. Schedule can be flexible to arrange
depending on each of couples such as 1 session per day or 3 sessions per week.
- We guarantee a fee for each of dancers for 2000yen per hour, plus local transport expenses. (long distance transport 　　
can be discussed in advance)
- Application may only accept on the duet basis, but please feel free to contact and we will help if you have no particular partner.

(3) Notes
- Place of the work: One of Triennale exhibition spaces in Yokohama, which will be officially announced later.
- No record or archives will be documented as the concept of this work.
