Red Brick Warehouse No.1

The two historic Red Brick Warehouses on Shinko Pier were built in the early years of the twentieth century as model government warehouses, and today they still ex- ude the aura of Japan as it was in the Meiji period (1868-1912). The Yokohama Triennale 2008 exhibits, including ones by Rirkrit Tiravanija and Chelfi sh , will be mainly on the second and third fl oors of Warehouse No. 1. At the Akarenga Hall on the third fl oor, various programs such as performance, concert, and lectures will be held.
